I have the same etching but it's much older and in an antique frame. I got it from my aunt's estate. I know very little about the value either but I do know a little about the artist. :)

Any ideas? Thanks.

no idea but gave up trying to find its value :dontknow:

Thanks. I haven't found much about this etching. I did find that there is one in the Smithsonian American Art Museum but no photo was available. http://americanart.si.edu/collections/search/artwork/?id=9885 When I found that out, I'm thinking that I might actually have something here. If I find anything else out, I'll post it. :)

France's Lee Kaufman was an agent selling for several companies to the interior designer/ retail Furnishings industry. She was based in L.A. One company she represented was Soicher Marin, a picture framing and print supplier. Their merchandise was all mass produced with occasional limited edition works identified with the item number and series production number in pencil on the face. I purchased many shipments from Soicher Marin for Australian distribution in the 80's. they were well priced .
I still have a few pieces kept for sentimental reasons but they have little value. France's Lee was a larger than life character..a big , loud woman with carrot hair and coral rings to match ..one of life's true characters .

thanks

Mine has a date of 1896 on the back - I love the frame more than the etching
