The first new Gold Bug ?

I saw in Gold Prospectors mag. ............... They had the i would guess the first new Gold Bug detector advertised ..... I thought they quit making the First Gold Bug for problems.............. And went to the Gold Bug Pro.... Is there a difference now in the Gold Bug & the Gold Bug Pro........... Or are they the same now ?

Well i saw the Gold Bug selling for $499.99 and the Gold Bug Pro selling for $649.00 there must be some difference..??

I was looking at those two also. This is about all I came up with, cut and pasted from there website: The Gold Bug will now be available for $549 without the manual ground balance, no VCO in discrimination and slightly less sensitivity to small nuggets than the PRO model.

The Super hot Gold Bug Pro is redefining gold prospecting and the relic hunters love it too. Many of the features pioneered on this unit and other FTP products are now being emulated by other manufacturers.

If you prefer the unit with the 11” coil as standard go with the Gold Bug DP $749. ............ Yes i saw that for $549.00 but the dealers are selling it for $499.99.....So there is a difference So as i see it then it is better to stick with Gold Bug DP or Gold Bug Pro............. And you are right other manufacturers with there new models for the last few year's or so have been copying what First Texas has done ...... but i don't think they are doing as good as job as FTP...........
