Against my better judgement I got out this afternoon for a short dig. The temperature did reach 88 and I went through 3 shirts and a gallon of water.
I was rewarded with a few finds including a few musket balls. I did find a nice artillery coat button in pretty good condition which is atypical for that wet lot. I also found a non military flat button with a cool design but no back mark. The second shirt produced a lead flint wrap. I always enjoy finding those.
A couple what’s its did come out of the ground. One of my pics is something that resembles a watch winder? The other pice I’m unsure about I included front and back pictures. The back side looks like it may have initials incised into it. Any information on those two objects would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking and happy hunting to all!!
