The Honey Hole Revealed

I slipped over to the Honey Hole this morning to meet P@tch. It was cold, hovering around freezing, however we did not let that slow us down. Here is what came out of the pouch.



I managed to find a Dominican Republic coat button, my fourth from the site. P@tch has one also. They came from a small area. I also found a flat button, but I’m not sure it’s old.



I tried to find a gold ring, but all I got was 4 nickels, a hem weight and a ton of pull tabs.



I dug a ‘59 dime and 8 wheaties.



It’s been a great run, but it’s coming to an end. I can share some info and pics with you at this point. It’s 8 acres, 82 apartments built in 1940 and completely EMPTY... about 5 acres of cut grass. A coin shooters dream come true. We started hunting it on December 14th, today’s silver was number 32 from the site, for me. A lot of other people found stuff too. I’m going to miss this spot.

honey holes can be hard to find and are worth keeping hush about. sounds like you got it to pay off very well Sir, for you and the others. Great to have good friends to share time and experiences with, although I would be careful around that rough looking one. Hope you guys find another spot quickly. DL

Here is a pic of the 32 silver coins that I have dug since December 14th, at the Honey Hole. I have gotten in 13 hunts, a little more than 50 hours. It has really been a lot of fun.

Out of curiosity, does the city own and maintain the land now?

It’s private, it will be demolished and redeveloped. I spoke to the property manager yesterday. Told him to run any MDers out of there that he sees! Hopefully it will last a couple more weeks, but we will just have to see how it goes.
