So, the Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF,)
I just Nic a Date'd a Buffalo nickel, and found a semi key date - 1919-D.

It'll make some veterans cringe with my learning curve scraping my nose, but I received a bottle of Nic a date yesterday, and decided to treat a handful of buffalo nickels I had, where the dates was unreadable. On my 2nd treatment, I found one was a 1919-D. So now, I had a $.25 nickel with an unreadable date, turn into a $60- $90 nickel that I had made into an $8 nickel, at best! At least, at least I turned a $.25 nickel into a, $8 nickel though!

And, after thinking it through, I should be only doing the last 2 numbers of the dates, as I at least know it IS a buffalo nickel. it would at least be more aesthetically pleasing as opposed to bathing the entire Indian's shoulder in Nic a Date!

Nic a Date...so you can read the date, but in doing so it destroys the coins value?

You did what you did. I would have done the same.
