I want to give a shout out to Loco-Digger for hooking me up with his barely used Land Ranger Pro. He knew how badly I have been wanting and waiting for one...and he was very kind to make that dream come true. Detector came in original box with instructions....all is perfect. He is an stand up guy in my book.

Turned it on and immediately cycled through the menus to get a feel for it. I've watched every video on it 100X so it did not take long to feel familiar. Read the .pdf manual online about 100X as well...but will sit on couch tonight and read it all over again. Super excited.

Broke out the plastic ruler and had air-tests going ASAP....also went outside and turned off the main breaker to my house to be anal about it. No EMI here baby!

Tested both the stock 11DD...and the 8in concentric from the Lone Star Pro.

11DD stock coil.....Mode 4.....0 disc....0 notch....sens at 10 (max).

Zinc - 10in (AM mode 12in)
Copper - 10.5in (AM mode 12)
Clad Dime - 10in (AM mode 11)
Nickel -11.5in (AM mode 12.5)
Clad Quarter - 11in (AM mode 13)

Silver Merc Dime - 9.5in (AM mode 11.5)
Silver Quarter - 11in (AM mode 13)

8 Inch Concentric coil from the Lone Star Pro....same order and settings as above....

Zinc - 9.5 (AM 11)
Copper - 9 (AM 11.5)
Clad Dime - 9 (AM 11)
Nickel - 9.5 (AM 12)
Clad Quarter - 10 (AM 12)

Silver Merc Dime - 9 (AM 11)
Silver Quarter - 10 (AM 12)

Obviously I am a pig in poop with those numbers. I never have liked the look of the 11DD that First Texas makes...but there is no denying it now.

Will have the video review and air test videos up by Sunday-Monday.....Montes nail board test as well. Going for my first live dig tomorrow...new camera...new awesome detector. Life is good right now....life is good.

Congrats and welcome to the LRP. Yes. loco is a great guy and his F75 is his baby.

Your air tests are spot on. My 10" concentric off of the QDP (placed on the LRP) are closer to the 11" readings than your 8" findings. So the LRP is justified in depth between those coils.

Now that you have ground balance, you may have to go back to sites you hunted with the LSP.

Your video's are great. and can't wait to see how you exploit the LRP.

I know I love mine(except for the PP button) and I actually have you and Phantsman to thank for getting one..

Thanks Phantasman...credit and thanks to you for the sage advice this last year I have been a member. :notworthy: Feels so good finally having it my hand. Saw Fed-Ex walking to the door and just about hollered. Pretty sure I was rude by grabbing it from him like I did. :icon_scratch:

Think the wife is sold on the F44. So once I get an adapter worked out it will be interesting to see that teardrop coil from it. Will probably buy a NEL someday down the road too....but for now this 11DD actually surprised me. Pictures made it seem much bigger and I thought it looked like a dog to be honest. But once it is in front of me it is not so bad. NEL can wait for a while....

So much detecting and testing and videos coming up...I cannot wait. :headbang:

Glad to be of service. :occasion14: I knew the power of the LRP from Phantasman and Loco. Then I started Googling and watching videos...I was hooked. I knew it was the machine for me for quite a while now.

Not sure if I am a fan of the PP button yet or not. I've been able to hit my markers pretty well with the Scorpions 9x5 DD and the 8in concentrics on the 2 other BH's I own. Once I figure out the marker for this coil I am skeptical I will utilize it much. Time will tell of course.

Thanks HunterGT and Phantasman for the nice comments. Like I have posted in the past (and I'm preaching to the choir), the BH LRP is the best bang for the buck and is very light weight. I agree with tjarrett regarding the pinpoint button, but I normally check all my signals from 2 angles and pinpoint the old fashioned "X" marks the spot method. My favorite coil is the stock 9" x 11" DD. It goes deeper than the 8" concentric and it requires less overlapping of swings. I look forward to seeing your testing and hunting videos. GL & HH
