I posted a while ago about acquiring the Acyra waterproof case, but I was not keen on gluing the tiny stem cap to the back of the case as it seemed to be an unstable option.

Fast forward to eBay...I found an individual who makes these heavy duty clips with a wide base. This thing is stout! It actually came with double sided sticky tape already installed. I had previously purchased some Gorilla sticky tape that has a rating of 30lbs, but decided to try what's on there first. It is SOLID!

Here you can see how the mount interfaces with the stem. I had originally worried about the size of the case interfering with my hand, or not being able to reach the buttons if the stem was fully extended.

Happy to report that everything fit perfectly and allowed manipulation on the buttons when fully extended.

Next project is to make the antenna from this RG-6 coax.

So just an update. For those that get the silicone cabinet bumpers as shown here:

Don't get the ones shown. They are the ones available at Walmart and the various hardware stores. Although they work, they don't work as well as the ones shown below. Since they are essentially the same size as the buttons, it's really hard to get all the residue inside the edges. It basically left a mess.

I ended up searching eBay and found these 5mm clear bumpers that are perfect. Since they are not "flat" it makes pushing the buttons a breeze.

Wow that looks really good. Let us know how it hunts.

Thanks will do. I haven't gotten around to making the antenna yet, but I have no doubts it will work.
