They just started this maybe this year. In the past the local Sonic drive-in had the gathering, but they went out of business and there was limited room to park the show machines. This is at a huge church parking lot and today it was plumb full of awesome cars. These pics are just a fractions of what's showing up now. Old school rods and classics to supercars and even one that ran on batteries with everything in between is always invited it seems. To much gleam under to much sun to get all really good pictures. Ya diffidently wanna have your sun glasses on at this event. Now I gotta get me something to bring other than my bicycle. Guess I better open-up craigslist and see what catches my eye and puts me in that dream state of mind I like to visit.

Love those old American cars.

That is cruel to post teaser pictures of the GTO Judge!

I prefer the old cars as they were originally made and not chopped, or modified with souped up engines. If you are going to restore a car try at least to restore it as it as it would have been but with the newer paint in the original color. Just how I feel about it.

Sorry about that fyrffytr1. I did look for a better position, but just wasn't finding a good one out of the glare or folks got in the way. I did talk to the owner. He said it was his dream car as a youngster and this is what he or maybe someone put together now that he can afford it. It's differently restored a bit beyond the day it left the factory, as the paint job was a lot thicker then those times and the details on the motor, which I liked the best about it you know didn't have un-painted 12 spline bolt heads holding it together, but who am I to Judge :) ... I didn't ask him if it was a true Judge, inspired by that hit show Rowan & Martins Laugh-In, as it could have very well started life as a LeMans for all I knew?. I did see a really sharp looking 63' Catalina along with many other fine examples of cool cars. I think next time I'll get down early when they're all coming in. It was about 8:45 in the morning when I got there and this lot was pretty well full by that time and already getting sunny and hot. This Chevy II really made a sound that took me back to the days of old.

My dad was a lover of the Pontiac's. He liked the big wide tracks of the 60s. Only brand new one I recall he bought was a 66' seafoam green Catalina. He had a 72 Grand Prix also that I drove some before I got my 1st car which was a 64' Chevelle SS 283 power glide, red with a white top and white interior council shift. Only Pontiacs I ever had was a 73' LeMans sports coupe and boy was that a dog with a 2 Barrel 389 with the dumbed-down smog control blue with rally wheels. It looked the same as a GTO of that year. I spotted this 67' Bonneville 428 on Craigslist. To me it looks like a top of the line model with all the bells and whistles you could order with that model. I know it's a less desirable 4 door over the coupes, but it reminds me of what my dad would have saw in a car to have. They're listening it a 4k, but I would think you might get it for less, because it definitely has some issues from what I see in the picture, but I sure do like those 8 lug wheels on it, with the period white walls. Those alone might be worth a pretty penny I'm thinking? I sure did like driving those big boats on the interstate highways back in the day and think I still would if I had one.

I never owned a full size Pontiac. Always had Lemans and GTOs. Right now my shop is full with the GTO and the 50 Silver Streak plus a 39 series 28 sedan sitting under the lean to next to the shop.
