Hi!
First and foremost, thanks for looking and letting me share my excitement with you over some stellar recoveries that my buddy Andy and I made this last Saturday in the 'burbs of Philadelphia. His Tesoro Deleon tearing it up, and my Fisher F75 beepin' deep! This is what it's all about, folks.
Best finds in order, dug between the hours of Noon and 9PM on 4/6/13.
Mercury Dime
Barber Quarter / (My first, and huntin' buddy predicted I would find one)
Spanish 2 Reales / 1803 / Andy!
Barber Dime
Mercury Dime
Barber Dime
Large Cent / Andy! (too toasty for a date, though looks like 1840's-50's type..?)
14K gold ladies ring with beautiful red stone. (need to get it looked at) 80-100yrs old (Smooth on top and faceted on bottom)
So many other notables. Almost 20 wheats between us. 3 Indian Heads, 3 or 4 Buffs, skeleton Key, sterling salt shaker top, large sterling buckle marked N.S., some tokens, religious medallions, marble... This is roughly the 6th time we have hit this moderately overgrown site, but each time we retrace our steps and keep digging deeper. If the site is old, go slow and dig everything. That's the only way to go, and I really haven't learned that till recently.
2 Reales / Just dug!
Don't rub it!
Doesn't get prettier than this
Tesoro plug!
Let's see it in the dirt
30 minutes after my silvers, and 10 minutes after the Spanish was saved / My favorite field shot
Nice spread, Andy
She's upside down -- Oops!
It's 1803, trust me
Cool token, dude
I love this save - Still found some of the glass
My spread / 6 silver (1 sterling) and 1 GOLD
Just the shiny stuff:
Backside
Hallmark: A*14K / Have not researched yet / Any ideas?
Tough to see, but it is cut beautifully on the bottom, making for gorgeous angles/lighting from the top
Simple yet beautiful pattern
Thank you for looking!
HH and GL!
