I was granted permission to hunt on the place of the old railway station. Two old railway leads lead seal, an ammunition cartridge, some spoonfuls of piece and much-much garbage. The lead seal 1949 Septembers 11 prepared.
I tell you thank you for having looked at it.

Did you climb that tree 8)

Nice finds and pictures. Cute boy.

I wonder what was buried under the protection of that sharp pointed tree. That's where I would bury my loot.

Thanks for the pictures and keep diggin there. Once trash is gone you should get some nice pics.

I do not want to climb a tree. ;)

Nice old finds. If i'm not mistaken that is a Locust tree. HH

You wouldn't want to run into one of those at night.

Great site and I see you have a helper! :)

I have three trees like that in my yard here in Ohio, they are brutal on people and lawn mower tires.

I don't think they are hedge or locust, does anyone know the name of this tree?

Thanks for sharing!

lol. very savage tree

let us know if you pull anything up among the junk...good luck!

This tree is an acacia. He is very stinging.

ouch is all to say looking at those thorns, nice start to the place hope you get to go back and find more cool stuff. I guess if I was going to bury a cache it would be under that thorn tree lol

Great pics and finds, Garryson. That tree does look kind of dangerous. Keep those pics and finds coming.

;) RR

Nice photos Garryson ... that old house or station in the first photo looks like it should provide some good finds ... might take a few hunts to work past the garbage but it sure looks promising ... keep at it and thanks for posting ~ Jimmy

I have hundreds of those trees on my property and have been told by biologists that they are "locust" trees. Thorns can grow to 4", usually 2-3". Bought a scooter, rode it around the property, and abandoned it due to failure to hold up against the locusts. Got a golf cart. Same thing. Treacherous things on any type of air-filled tire. However, the tractors do seem to do pretty good with them. However, they go through tennis shoes (ANY kind) like the shoe was a marshmellow. I've managed to co-exist with them by not being too brazen with them; I keep my distance. ;)

These are Black Locust. The Honey locust has a small thorn 1/4" to 3/4" long. The Black Locust are vicious and I have heard these were the Thorns used for the Crown of Thorns in Christ Crucifixion.

Interesting you would say that, John. Last Easter my husband and I were decorating the church for Passover Sunday. Needed a crown of thorns for the top of the cross that was to be "flowered" the next Sunday (Easter). Headed out into the woods and cut numerous flexible branches off the locusts. Three hours and multiple injuries later, we had our Crown of Thorns. NOT fun. Needless to say, we saved it for the next Easter. Don't want to do that every year. -Noodle

Awesome, there has to be some coins out there somewhere!! Bryan
