The oldest coin I found in the US 1786 Spanish 2 Reales

This is the oldest coin I found in the US. I had been overseas for nearly 30 years but now live in Virginia. I was out in the woods hoping to find more modern silver when this beauty popped up. In 1979-81 I found 3 Spanish 1 Reale coins. So this is the first one I found in nearly 40 years. It is a 2 Reales minted in Mexico city. These coins were legal tender in the US until 1857. I was hoping to find Mercury dimes or silver Rosies but this was a shocker. 1786 2 reale front.webp1786 2 reale reverse.webp

Just got my first reales a couple months ago and it was a 2. Im looking at it right now and smiling just like the day i found it. Saving history is friggin awesome! GREAT FIND!
