It took Cru'dad & I a little longer than I expected to grid the rest of the available field. (just short of 3 hours) Lots of buttons again, but not the 1 hammered we hoped for. We then did 2.5 hours on the nearby 'hunted out' Roman Site & managed 4 Roman Coins & the worst burnt sixpence I've seen!
So 5.5 hours total;

HVC Militia Button
Tudor Button
2 Neolithic Flints, the left one Cru'dad found, probably the best find of the day. To big for an arrow & a bit small for a spear.:icon_scratch:
2 Lead Cloth Seals
4 Roman Coins
Bits...

For Sept this feels like pay-back for a flying start or we are building for the big one!:laughing7:

Could be because the stone age people didn't read the books how big or small to knap their flint. :laughing9: Nice worked piece!

Impressive haul finds, I like the coin 2nd in from the top left on picture 6 . Where you heading next? [emoji848]

It is odd to have over 30,000 acres, 46 discovered Roman Sites & still no-where to go! So in answer to your question, I have no idea, other than I set Cru'dad on the case.
Plus we are hoping for 2 new permissions to come on-line soon due to Land-Mag's hard work. We need these new researched sites to produce something good!

It's a Constans - Dragging Captive from Hut.

Just a guess, but could CruDad's point be from an atatl? Sort of a short spear propelled by a throwing stick?

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Good idea.
Honestly, flints is a subject I have limited research in, so I'm none the wiser.
