What a way to end 2015!

Headed to the park this AM to get a few hours in before work.

I headed back to where I found the seated dime on Sunday.

First target dug was a thin silver coin, and at first I thought it may be another trime, but it turned out to be a half reale....my first spanish silver!

A little more searching and I unearthed a small statue of Joseph and Jesus; this is the second of its kind I've found here.

Moving on to an adjacent area, a good signal turned out to be an 1890s coin spill, literally, a lost coin purse. First I took a V nickel and two indians from the hole and then replaced the plug. Re-survey showed another signal and out came two more indians. Indians are 1873, 1883, 1888 and 1891. The "V" is also 1891.

Not far away, another tasty target turned out to be an 1865 IHP.

....an awesome way to finish the year at this park!

Super digs! It would be very, very rare of find a reale here. I had a fantastic ending to 2015 too!

To McCdig, Congrats on your first Spanish Silver. I know its a thrill. To Blueblood, Hang in there, as my detecting partner & myself have found 6 Spanish Silvers between the two of us here in Illinois over the last few years. Don't give up. Just hunt the older places.

Congrats on your first Spanish silver. It's always nice to knock something off the bucket list, particularly when it's old and silver. I always love finding Indians and the 73 is not a bad date to find.

You sure pulled out another awesome hunt in last hours of 2015. A spanish silver and a late 1800's coin spill. totally awesome.

NICE FINDS MR.DIG .... ..

Follow-up on the half reale is that it is 1807, Mexico City minted. Letters left side of reverse read R M T H.

Congrats on getting that first Spanish knocked down. I remember finding a 1782 2 reales and losing my mind. Let's just say my language would not have been suitable for a video lol

Very Nice Maryland find!! Yet to find anything that old in the water...Keep on Hitting it!

Really nice.
It must be a great feeling to dig up Spanish silver.
Congrats.
