Here's a group shot of the finds I had on my last England trip. In addition to the items I already posted, there were a few more interesting finds.....at least according to my export documents. One is my first Saxon find, which is just a fragment. It's called a "harness cheek piece" on the docs. It's the item on the left and above the large curved bronze nail. Another surprise was a silver Roman fourrees coin in the upper left. It's pretty mangled. In fact, I don't know how they even I.D.'d the thing! The badge looking thing left of the spoons and just above the RH thimble is a Victorian era letter clip (whatever that is) dated January, 1845. Any other questions, just ask!

Not seen a Victorian letter clip before, different.
If you do close up pictures of the silver plated Roman, we might be able to narrow it down a little.
Can't see the Saxon/Viking Cheek Piece, maybe picture that at the same time. If I'm following where your saying, I see part of a Medieval buckle.

Here you go......

Nice haul!!! I’d love to detect there, nice job

Here you go......
Thanks.
Thats a shame, no details on the coin to ID, as its fire damaged.

Not sure what that ancient piece is, not a buckle, not a cheek piece that I'm aware of. See how they tend to have a flatter profile, not round:

Yup, this one says "Henry Phipson & Partners" on it along with the date I already mentioned.
