The Verdict is in on my stone find!

Thanks everyone who answered to my post. I took that little darling to the jewelry store today and had it looked at. CZ......dang it! Oh well.....it was exciting to find it. I can't hardly see to read anymore....but I find this little stone out of a ring in the mud.....go figure!
Today wasn't a total loss though.....I took some other jewelry in that was my mother's and had it all looked at. Got an appraisal of 1,500.00 on a watch with six diamonds. I won't sell it but it's nice knowing what it's worth.

Think u can find a ring that it will mount into, then everytime u wear it it will bring a smile to your face.

A real easy way to tell diamond from CZ.

Just flip the stone upside down and put it on a piece of newspaper or colored paper.

If you can see any of the writing or color thru the bottom of the stone it's an imitation or at lease NOT a diamond

A diamond will look all silver, like a mirror.

This is called the "read thru" effect

Thanks AP.......I sure did miss you guys alot too! Ya know....life just happens and you put the detector up and you knock into it a few times and you stick it away somewhere else and you stop looking at forum and BAM.........months go by. Ya know my Mom passed away in June, so I haven't felt like doing too much. But things are better now, and I'm so glad to out swinging again.
I really have some good friends here...........Thanks to all you well wishers and hope everyone finds the Mother Load this year!!

Bummer the stone wasn't real , really sorry to hear about your mom . Mine passed away last Nov. Nothing clears your mind like swinging the coil , Get out there . HH
