As it was a rainy Friday, I wanted to stay off the growing crop with our sticky boots. So we return to a project we are involved in with a Council that has granted us sole rights to detect all there land. The Chairman encouraged us to try the Cricket Pitch & after looking at the ploughed out ridge & furrow we thought it worth a try. Hoping that more recent ploughing may have brought things up.
It was lovely sandy soil but we soon realised that any older stuff was out of reach.
However it was still a fun 4 hours 15 minutes:

Good finds from a tough field!

Good finds from a tough field!

Just 1 silver would have brighten it up a little more & I had my fingers crossed for a nice Georgian Buckle but not today...

The first field we went to had the horses in it. They had recently opened it up & the slope I wanted to try was being grazed & the tenant was not around so we moved on.

This is another great day for you. No silver, but still great!

Definitely not a boring post, congrats :icon_thumleft:
