These are from my trip I took to the far western part of Colorado on November 8th and 9th. The weather the whole trip was perfect. The fall colors are still a sight to behold and all was very quiet, with the exception of the sounds of trickling steams, whispering wind, along with the magpie & raven.

That is some desolate looking country. Love the petroglyph's.
They're different. One image looks like a cow and the one in the center looks like maybe a human figure with a rope tied to an animal of some kind. I was thinking it could be early images of a Mexican Vercaro cattle herder lassoing a calf ??

I once flew back and forth to northern Florida and Atlanta for work. Stayed every two weeks. Later they told me the job will be full time in Atlanta if I was wanting to work there. I always felt like I was surrounded in a corridor of pine trees that confined the big blue sky. It was odd to me. It was one of the reasons I declined a good offer and told them then the gig is up and I know Denver won't like me down. I had a new job in a month and I'm so glad I did turn down their offer. They all gave me a funny confused look when I decided I'm gonna jump ship. I'm sure they thought I was a fool when I had no answer to their question of, What are you gonna do then.

We never visited Colorado but we were nearby in Kansas
I to this day still have fond memories of the beautiful scenery

Cool pics, tr. Where exactly is that? And billb definitely needs to actually come to Colorado some day. He may wind up stayin here.

It's about halfway from Gateway to the Nucla turn off on 141. My work partner in Nucla grew up in Paradox and that area and told me where it was. It's just the one rock, that has the petro's. He mentioned some others he knew about growing up in the area that were closer to Lasale UT.
