I just started coin roll hunting recently and I have started out here in my small town trying to buy out the local banks. So, today I finally found one that had some (after calling around) I went to pick them up and she went to the back room and hand counted me out $200 worth and put them in a plastic bag. I got home and started searching them and found nothing. But that's not the worse part.... I decided to count them since they were not rolled. Total $115. She shorted me $85. I called up there immediately and the teller had left for the day so they called her at home and talked to her and then told me to bring back the bag in the morning and they would make it right with me. I thought... Your dang right you are.
Anyways, to all of the other newbies out there, have a good sense about what $100 and $200 and up, in halves looks like so you don't get totally ripped off by someone who doesn't know how much a 50 cent piece is worth.
By the way my first time I did this was a few weeks ago my bank had $77.50 in their coin counter and I found 3 40%. Thanks for all the great tips that I have gotten from all of your posts!
