Re: The Wrens are Baaaack!

Neat pics. Birds are just now starting to nest around these parts.

Re: The Wrens are Baaaack!

Thanks, they are a trip to watch as they hunt for insects and lizards.

I have a video somewhere of them feeding the chicks and will post it if I can find it.

Below is a link to more shots of the Wrens, their enemy the Hawks and shot's of some Tennessee humming birds.

Ooooh I just about want to cry :crybaby2: :crybaby2: .........the little ones have flown the coop!

And this year I got to see the babies fly from the nest! :blob10: :blob3: :blob5: :blob6: :blob7: :blob9:

It was a sight to see, the smallest one(wife named him woodstock) had to make short "hops" to the trees but the other 3 made it in one flight.

Gotta love the fuzzy MoHawk look the little ones are sportin!

I can't believe how short the babies tails are, when the adult's are so long.

I still see Mama & Daddy Wren flying around the yard after bugs & lizards and can still hear the little ones cheep when they come back with food.
Hopefully next year they will return to raise another clutch.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
