They're so cool!, Great finds

You've definitely on a roll

Happy Hunting,

Dugholes

I really like the hunting vignette on the third one, and the Colt Patent eagle is a classic, too.

Those are great flasks, my friend. We average 1-2 per year as well here. My buddy Rodeo found the first one of 2009 earlier this month, so I imagine there's time for me to find a good one this year too. It is a shame that the rarest and most valuable one from last year was also in the worst condition--torn up by the plow. It was a Remington Revolver powder flask. :-\

Best Wishes,

Buckles

Very nice finds.

I wonder why I have never had one or part of one :icon_scratch:

Yes Pbk,that one is one of my favorites as well,I ended up finding the other half in another camp about a half a mile away!I have found several versions of that scene too.

Best Wishes,Thanks Buckles,Wow no kidding!A couple of things amaze me about flasks one how often we only find half and hardly ever find the top part(spout)when we do find a spout the rest is seldom found?and second the sheer amount of them we find,I guess its due to there "fragile" design?

Hey, man, everybody has problems.....

One of my many is that I have never found a nice powder flask.

See you on the streets.
One is in your future!I have a buddy that has detected for over 25 years and has made some unbeleivable finds including several very rare fire arms....but never dug a flask until this year at one of my sites he dug his first half(the one pictured in the dirt)then he dug another one the next trip and he just called and dug two more last week!!!!!!When it rains it pours I guess!!!!

Buckles

WOW, what a collection! Very nice.

kuger,

I wonder if the spouts were re-used.

Best Wishes,

Buckles
