this Thebes was found east of Seymour Indiana not far from the muscatatuck refuge. It measures 3 1/4" x 1 3/8"

Yeah they show a lot of skill. I would love to find one. Thats nice.
 
Great find I wonder what color would be under the patina? Have you tried soaking it in some mineral oil? It wont hurt it but will bring back some of the original color.
 
I have not used any mineral oil it.

I typically dont use anything on relics. I often use hot water and a toothbrush to clean them. Sometimes I just us water and my fingers.
 
10 mins from the house and the area is beautiful!!! Thebes are a FAV of mine, amazing how sturdy they are. AWESOME blade!!!!! CONGRATZ....
