Cool bug in the last photo.. Is it sometype of grasshopper and does it also bite??

some sort of grasshopper.just took pic he was on car when i got back.sure if you put your finger by his mouth he will bite it.lol

i don't think its the lady bugs that bite, its those Japanese beetles that look like lady bugs that bit, and hard

Thompy, lady bugs do bite,hard. I have been bitten by them many times. There is a great size difference between them and Japanese beetles. The ones that got me were lady bugs. They are cute but nasty. Mike.
