Agree Todds, pretty common in North America and from what I've heard Tennessee (I never looked in Tennessee).I think the flint is Ft. Payne. Kind of tough to knap but good flint all in all. Gary

Common only in the south east I'd say. Ft. Payne chert does not occur everywhere. Even as close as I am to it, I never see it here in east central Alabama.
