Plans: Spending several days with detector in hand. Reality: two short hour long hunts.
First spot was one I see multiple times per year as there's a nice little trout brook there, not to mention the Whitetails. Victorian era cellar used up till the 1970s and very junky, only decent finds were 6 1940-1951 pennies in one hole and three bells in another.
Managed an hour on one of my newer sites and dug the musketball, flat button and super crusty copper in between the iron and junk. By far the crustiest copper I've found, paper thin. Tomorrow, all day hunt....fingers crossed for it anyways!
