Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Plans: Spending several days with detector in hand. Reality: two short hour long hunts.
First spot was one I see multiple times per year as there's a nice little trout brook there, not to mention the Whitetails. Victorian era cellar used up till the 1970s and very junky, only decent finds were 6 1940-1951 pennies in one hole and three bells in another.
Managed an hour on one of my newer sites and dug the musketball, flat button and super crusty copper in between the iron and junk. By far the crustiest copper I've found, paper thin. Tomorrow, all day hunt....fingers crossed for it anyways!

Averaging one find per ten minutes, thats a fair return!
Good luck in your future detecting sessions.

Nice crotal bells. My wife wants me to find more of them. I found 2 in four years. You find three in one hunt....nice going.

You really need to find a site! There has been many great ones around there, and I bet just as many or more left to discover. Your day has to come soon!

Yes I could but they are not mine! ;D (He is about 2 hours away from me - Patriot's area)

I do need a good site; at least I feel like I'm targeting them more than stumbling across them like the past couple years. Biggest problem is the lack of a car, that shouldn't be a problem too much longer, provided things go the way they are suppose to! I usually spend as much time getting to and back from sites as I do hunting, and after 10+KM of cycling I'm half beat when I start detecting. I have multiple potential sites but 50 - 100 KM of cycling is just too much....most days :P

I like crotal bells, this was the first time I found three in one hole though!

Wow, I wish I could find a bell in any shape. Was there any evidence of leather in the hole with them? Maybe they were part of the same strap. Good finds!

I don't Drive, & cycle when lifts are not available, just find a friendly hunting partner, I'm lucky my Dad is Hooked.

Well at least I'm not the only one! It doesn't take long for soil to eat up coins. :'( HH
