Not sure what this is.... I found it near an old cellar hole in CT. One thought was that it was part of a mantle decoration, although its probably a bit small for that. Its about 3.5" wide and not complete (.010" thickness). Either side appears to be ragged and missing. Not sure what the center bump represents; maybe the world? Does the style of eagle give way to age? Early 1800s? Sorry for the crappy photos... need a new DC. Any idea of use or age is appreciated.

the small (nail) hole leads me to believe it's a furniture adornment
