To small, though I can see where you are coming from. A trapezee is much larger to allwo two handed use and all of them I have seen are triangles.

I think you were right the first time, it's a thing-a-ma-bob. I've seen those before. They also go by another name, whatcha-ma-call-it. One thing for sure, it's definitely not a doohicky.
