Not having much luck with finding out what my "thing" finds are today. So came here in the hope some illumination would come my way.


It is about 3.5cm long.Would be useless as a washer.Lots of metal working evidence in the area and bedrock is pretty close. So lots of easy yet confusing finds.Some rather suspicious and scary. Wish I had a Geiger counter as part of my kit at times. Anyway.This looks old and decorative rather than a functional thing. Weird discs of metal have been doing my head in recently.Peace

The pair of rocks are actually just grainy quartz full of small gold. Lots of slag and metal working evidence. Lots of young and old in the same kind of area cos bedrock is close and the land above it has been worked and turned. Just moved here and trying to get an idea of things. I know this was a decorative item.Clueless about the sandstone item though Sure it is not avocado. That is about all I know.Peace

Yea its hard to see in that photo. I keep seeing a nostril from someones nose.


Just a bit of advice. Take your photo with a solid background of one solid color like a blue tablecloth or put your unidentified item on any solid color and it may help.
