First, I was not sure if I should post this here. If this is not the correct area, I apologize and please move to the correct place.
I just wanted to post some items that I have that handed down to me by my grandparents after they passed away. I am curious about their value, but not interested in selling. Also, I don't really know a whole lot about them, so any information would be appreciated.
Item 1 - Brass candlestick holder
This was handed down through my grandmother's side of the family. Through her, I am related to Rutherford B. Hayes, who was the 19th President of the United States. He is my ggggg uncle. According to family history, this candlestick holder belonged to him. I do not know if this is 100% accurate as this was passed by word of mouth, and no written documentation exists. If someone could at least verify the period that these were popular, it may answer some questions. There are no markings on the item.

Item 2 - German helmet
Another item passed down through my grandmother. She said one of her brothers got this at some point. I've been told that this is a reproduction helmet - that the helmet itself was probably surplus used by Norway, and that it had been repainted and new decals put on. I would like a second opinion.

Item 3 - Prussian Dish
This is an item from my grandfather's side of the family. It is a dish that is from Prussia. The mark on the back consists of a laurel wreath with a star in the top center. On the left of the star is the letter R and on the left is the letter S. Underneath it says Prussia. No idea of age or value. I do know that it is old.

Item 4 - Haviland Dish Set
This is a partial Haviland dish set passed through my grandmother's family. My grandmother said that this is about half of the set; the other half apparently went to someone else in the family, but I have no idea who. The maker's mark says "Theodore Haviland - Limoges, France - Patent Applied For - Simmons Hardware Co. - St. Louis, MO." No idea of age or value.
