Thinking about modifying the Omega 8000,Do you guys think this will help?

I love the Omega and have used it about 25 hours this first week,The detector itself is a coin killing machine but goes nuts when around the least bit of EMI and tends to lose ALOT of its depth on coins. I have read that RF chokes on the coil cable help stabilize the unit and have been debating about giving it a go,Has anyone else tried this with any type of luck? Also i have came to realize there are different sizes and types of RF chokes,What size would be properly suited for this unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
