Thinking of joining local MD club....

My hubs and I are considering joining one of the few local MDing clubs--We are kind of leaning toward Old North State Metal Detectorists, they are having an open meeting this Saturday and we're going to go and check it out. Is anyone here familiar or members of this club? Any feedback would be appreciated-We really need to polish our detecting skills and after a couple of "bummer" hunts we really could use the motivation and knowledge that hopefully a club can provide! Thanks and as allways HH!!!!

I can't say anything either way about the specific club, but if I still lived in Dallas, I would still be a member of the local club there. LOTS of help and LOTS of good programs/advice/friendliness!
