Thinking of starting to detect again now that I'm retired!

I'm new here so figured that I'd say Hi. Used to detect but got away from it and now that I'm retired, I'm thinking of taking it up again.

Here's a couple of pics of a pin that I found years ago. Think that it is gold and silver and it has British marks on the back. Anyone have any idea of age or value?
