This ever happen to you???

I'm new to this coin roll hunting hobby, so maybe it is rather common, but I want to ask. Today, I went to the bank and asked for halves. The teller said they had an unopened box. Well, seemed good, so I bought it. I bring it home, and notice it had brown packing tape on the end which I didn't notice. I decided to still open it from that end, and I dumped them out. When I dumped them, 47 out of 50 of them were sliced lengthwise on the side with a razor blade exposing the reeded edges! For some reason, the guy left 3 unopened ones at the end so you couldn't tell the rest were cut. Is this common, and do you guys do this, too? Any comments? Thanks for listening!

No that didn't exactly happen to me but a week or so ago I got a sealed case and when I opened it I could tell every roll had been hunted and repackaged. I got 26 40% silvers in that box.

You have to look at the dates on the 40%, not the edge.

Go through them and give us a report, I hope he didn't pull out any and short change your box also.

That guy definitely gets a I would give him something worse but all those smiley guys are pretty polite.

Its quite possible that the box with rerolled rolls with silver was done by the tellers. They may have planned to ship it out. As for the razor cuts in the box, not sure. Find anything at all?
Was it cut to the point where some coins could have been switched?

Wow, I have never picked up a box where the rolls were sliced lengthwise like that.

I got 2 boxes like that in Nov they were sliced and taped. The box was also glue sealed. The worst was the coins needed to be rerolled before they were returned. I told the bank about it. Boy I was ticked.
