so i go to my dump bank.. usually only dump at most $1,500 at a time... but missed a dump so i come in with $2,500.... had to deposit some anyways

well the main teller asks me how much while i running my coin.. i say approx 2k... she starts talking saying they have a customer Bill who orders boxes from them and dumps $2k per week.. not only that BUT he missed one week and they were worried about him and missed seeing him

WTF lol

maybe i should start buying my boxes there and just walking over to the counter while i go through them LOL

There are a few banks out there that do not mind at all...and in fact welcome it with open arms. A few banks will take customer service to the extreme...at least here in the South anyway. I have a bank that orders me 2 boxes weekly (would do more if I wanted). The next week I put $1000 in rejects through their machine and pick up 2 more boxes. Before anyone gives me a "rules" lecture, let me say that it was all the branch manager's idea. She offered to do it.

There is almost (if not always) an exception to every "rule." HH!

that's awesome.. i would probably do it here too now that i know 'they like it' lol... but they are slow on ordering.. whereas my order bank is like clockwork

rules are just guidelines. your reality may vary.

In essence, don't crap where you eat, unless the bank is 100% OK with you dumping $1,000+ in halves every week that you order through them. Even then, you might end up searching through the same coins later.

You will proably go thru your coins at some time or another. If you pick up at a bank the works with Brinks and you dump at a bank that works with Brinks at some time you will get some of the coins you looked at back. Even if your dump bank is your pick up bank all the coins will go out to be rolled back up and you may get some or they may just go to another bank. It is a hit and miss in this game......Matt

I actually lol'd when I read this. Not sure whats more humorous, the story, or the fact that 'grampa' used "WTF"
