A guitar formerly owned and played by Eric Clapton that was expected to fetch any where from $1.5 million to $2 million at auction this week failed to nab a single bid.
The 1954 Fender Stratocaster was up for auction via Gotta Have Rock and Roll from Nov. 25 to Dec. 5, and the minimum opening bid was set at $1 million, but the auction came and went without a single bid being placed on the guitar.

Expected to Sell for Millions, Fails to Get a Single Bid
Perhaps the minimum opening bid should have been set a little lower than $1 million.
Perhaps they shouldn't have Lied Either. Last one to play it was the Above Yahoo
