this mornings and two other's finds

this is the best of the finds from the last three morning hunts at a park, of course the trash has been omitted. a very large amount of pull tabs and pull rings were dug as I hoped for gold. the ring was my wife's 5th, hadn't been posted, neither was the sting ray corvette. I had also removed all of the toasted zincoids. This is the most nickles I have dug along with the pull tabs etc. also dug some very deep faint signals, hoping for older coins but found only car parts down deep and an oil can. I actually found several coin spills of both quarters and dimes with nickles scattered in, you would think that I would get better about double checking the holes before filling them. thanks for looking View attachment 1038597

Always good to see nickles. You're doing fine, cept the mrs. ring score... :laughing7: but better her whuppin ya than someone else...

I found one of those barrel plugs not long ago too. You could score big anytime since you're digging those nickels. Mine always end up being foil balls, lol.

between the pull tabs and the nickles, somewhere there is bound to be a surprise just a waiting. when ever I dig a pull ring, I yell over to the Mrs. "RING!" and then I add "pull" but everyone in a while one slips in, mainly the bling types but I have fared fairly well so far this year for digging in the dirt. sometimes the sheer number of those signals is overwhelming, you know almost all of them are junk.... but one even two could be the real thing! so I have to dig most of the time.

Nice haul there DL ! Congrats on the big nickel count also =)

Nice work, dig all of them. I have found some of my oldest coins at 2"
Good finds!

What is it with the barrel plugs , I dug one last week and it blew my ears off when I passed my coil over it .Nice digs and thanks for the pics

yeah, best I remember, that plug got me excited but then I realized what it was. just past it, I had a 81 which could be a dime or a copper penny and dug the dime, covered the hole, got up and decided to check the hole again and sure enough, another hit so down I went again and found a quarter. did a really quick scan with the pin pointer, covered the hole, stood up and swung once more and bam, another 81 hit about three inches to the side. another dime, then a quarter, then another dime, then a nickle and finally a copper penny. as I stood up and looked at the dug and re-dug area, I felt like an idiot for not scanning the area better in the first place but it was hot and I was ready to quit and never thought about it being another coin spill (the forth of the day). always can use the battery money
