unfortunately, I don't think your rock is from space. From your description and the picture it appears to me to be quartz. HH omnicognic 8)

I have seen quite a few of these rocks, it is some type of quartzite I usually find them in lakes. To resize a picture a good paintshop program would be ideal. However you can resize using the standard microsoft paint program, To do this load the picture in ms paint: choose image from the top toolbar and choose stretch/skew, then under horizontal and vertical plug in a percentage that you want to change the picture to then click ok. Hope this helps.

Yep a better picture is needed. One thing as suggested by Dew? is that I see? a lot of? quartz in the matrix.There is no quartz in meteorites so it is from earth.

Scratch the pink on a knife- if it is quartz it should scratch the knife.
