🔎 UNIDENTIFIED This one has me stumped. Found in old homesite central Va., brass, about 10" long, marked "MADE FOR CRANE". Anyone have any ideas?

Looks like some kind of valve adjustment tool to me. There was a company called “Crane” (established in Chicago, 1855) who made and sold all kinds of hydrants, standpipes, valves and such related to plumbing, water supply, fire-control and industrial use through until at least the 1960s.

Lever for a pop off (pressure relief) valve. Could have been for air pressure or steam? Being brass I would guess steam.

It was pretty definitively ID'ed a couple posts above. Toilet flusher bar.....Definitely not going into the display case. :laughing7:
