Hit the forest preserve as the hot weather finally broke. But i was attacked by cecadas (no idea if spelled right) Also as usual, every can was fooling me they were coming up today as quarters and dimes I found only 34 coins and under $2 in clad. Every 0.0 reading was a can 4.0 down

Sounds like a couple of my days last week with Little Miss SE! One thing I found out the hard way, "If it ain't there Little Miss SE can't find it!"

That's the same readings come up on cans for me too. Allways in the dime/quarter range. At least you didn't come away empty handed.

Some days are like that I guess, we hit a site that has been hunted hard already or whatever. You will doo a lot better next time, it all equals out in the end. Thanks for sharing, glad you got out at least.

I haven't dug a can in several weeks. Pieces of aluminum slag but no cans...wonder why. I'm just as glad not digging them because they sure do aggravate me when I dig way down deep and hit an old beer can Just keep diggin, you can't ignore those quarter/dime signals.
