Id like your opinion...
I am thinking a Madison (or similar) point with a broken base. In addition, almost looks heat treated, with a fire pop on one side and impact scar on the other.

Found on a Mississippian site on private property....in Illinois

Sure does have alot going on! Nice. Some of my "would be" best stone tools are broken too dammit. Just complimenting, can't help with what people call them today. I only care what they were used for back then. Good to know though. Why not. Cheers.
