Started off the week by getting a teller tray snipe. My first ever haha. Was picking up my first 4 boxes, and the teller said he had 6 in loose halfs, I said I'd take them. I swore I saw a silver rim, he was counting them out on the table for me, and I saw the coin I thought was silver, it was a 76-bicent. Lost all hope. Got to the car to double check, and it was a 76-s silver proof! My first one and from a tellers tray haha.
I did 20 boxes this week, most were new 2001-d and 1998-d, and I started to get 2000-d boxes towards the end of the week. Anyways I only found 1 40% in those 20 boxes! Huge bummer to go with my luck these past few weeks.
Something compelled me to swing by this bank, that is literally right next to one of my pick ups (I've had killer luck there before (2 solid rolls)). I ask if they have any halfs, and one teller says she has 4 rolls, and there are 18 more in the back. I took them all. The 18 gave up 6 40%'s, the 4 from her draw gave up 50-60ish 40%!! A killer find. They all had 13-20 silver in them. So after this whole event, I went to my pick up bank. The merchant teller was helping another customer with some big issue so I started small talk with another teller in the bank. After a few minutes I asked if she had any halfs. She had 6 rolls of $20. I bought them. As she was putting them on the counter, I notice one of the rolls looks super old, and one is marked (1965 -66 -67 Ag Clad), I just about pee'd myself. To cut to the point, I looked and they were all 40%! and the old roll had another 25 40%s. 65 40%'s from that bank too.
All together I got 115 40% this week. Really makes up for not finding anything the past 2 weeks. I might be able to pay the car deductible after I sell theses!
