Thomas Jefferson Beale Treasure

Slightly Familiar.

only one of about 3 Treasure Stories I'm convinced never Existed.

but ,

Only My opinion

hey jeff, well i tell ya id have to agree w ya however, the vault being found back in 2000, does it not give authenticity that its not a hoax? i mean yes Decoded appeared to give it "a thumbs down" but doing alot of reviewing of material n research this past week "IT" has my eyebrowl still at a angle if u will.

Well, They also found Stuff While Digging
pits on Oak Island, But who''s to say they are not
From earlier Treasure Hunters Digging :tongue3:

there are a lot of reasons for vaults

IMO the whole Thing smells of
an overactive imagination :laughing7:

Again, I'd like to be Proven wrong :laughing9:

true true true n thats one thing i havent seen much on is a theory as to "Y" develop such as story. i have my own speculation, but bc i try 2 look both direction b4 crossing (Haha)... whats your opinion ??? if i may ask, as "Y" create such a story ? other then good around a campfire...

1 thing that i thought was that it was around the civil war era so folks could of been concerned of the out come or retaliation n their worth being stolen. thats y tjb n his 29 associates hide their loot, yes?

No real Thoughts on it myself.

I'd say yes Most likley Just to tell a Story,
or Perhaps to Sell a Treasure Map :dontknow:

You will Find, I am very open Minded on Treasure Tales
& Dislike Putting them down as False.

I Believe almost all are Based on some type of Facts,
which may be the case here also.

Perhaps Rumors he was very Wealthy,
egged him on to Perpetrate a Hoax
That got out of hand :dontknow:

ahh, solid point... if memory serves me correctly in Decoded they said that thomas jefferson n another man (cant remember the name) had a newspaper 2gether that wasnt producing well n came up w a treasure "hunt" if u will by putting clues in the paper to generate better revenue which regained success as i recall. im waitg on my copy from history channel 2 review it again.

jeff, btw ive tried talking 2 the fellows over at rockhound n they seem to have the 411 on it but we'll c, maybe thats y its still a mystery idk, if u learn anymore id certainly like 2 hear from ya...

hey all, a few things troubling me, on the 2nd cipher why did he (i assume Ward) start at 115 ? what lead him to start there? as i (kgunn) have started going thru DOI (Declaration of Independence) there r some numbers not following the word sequence n so far some have been used twice? overall theres over 1300 words y not just assign a different number that coincides with the needed letter??? maybe im showing my ignorance here but if some1 can teach me id b most appreciative, any help?

Recently found the diary of tjb, which claims that the treasure is not buried in Va but in Mo.? including a cipher wheel, how kool is that? wheres nicholas cage ? Seriously tho, google it, definitely adds a new twist...

Hi Kgunn

Check this out, and form your own opinion. I recently became interested in the Beale Mystery and find all the sotries very interesting. After doing some hard looking at some key figures, dates, and stories of the time period I want to beleive its not a hoax. But thats my take.
