Congratulations are in order to a 22 year old Chongqing woman surnamed Xu for not only pulling off the year's most obnoxious parking job, but also for providing the lousiest excuses imaginable.
Sohu reports that on August 9, a white Maserati (worth an estimated two million yuan) was left parked in the middle of a street in Yubei district, Chongqing.
After a resident took photos of the terrible parking job and contacted police, the 22 year old owner of the car turned up. She argued that the parking garage at her workplace was full and that when she passed the street other cars had parked over the double yellow lines in the middle of the road, so she simply followed suit. She couldn't explain where the other cars had disappeared to.
When a reporter recounted to Xu the angry opinions of several passersby she brushed them off, saying that likely it was "the car itself that was causing people to get angry".
