I learned a long time ago that during the winter, those "northern slopes",
the ones that have a pretty long exposure to the sun because of their
southern exposure, tend not to be quite as frozen. ;)

It worked, but, there still needs to be something worth finding. LOL

I got completely fooled by this one.

Excellent hit, one of VERY few! Located, dug,
rolled the plug, saw this. Penny hit! Look how thick!!
That's just GOTTA be a "fatty"!!! :)

:BangHead:

Not! LOL

The big thing up top might be some sort
of trim from a car. I tried to straighten
it out a bit and BOY!! It's TOUGH!
Non-magnetic. :dontknow:

The "U" shaped thing is strange too.
Solid hunk of metal, not heavy enough to be lead,
but it is also non-magnetic. :dontknow:

Fishy has a new hula hoop. It's brass and
at first I thought it might just be a ring. :dontknow:

I believe Blingie is getting sleepy. Winter's here. ;)

Thanks for peeking!

Blingie has done very well this year I also go out in the winter dress super warm and I love it but we got 8 plus inches cant even see the ground even in the woods Thanks for always sharing your cool finds keeps me sane in the winter!!!!!!

Nice.......at least you got out to swing the coil today, WHADIFIND.
It's my 1st winter detecting, so, thanks for the north slope tip.........makes sense, though, since moss grows on the north sides of trees.........

You got out and had some fun...life is good! :occasion14:

Thanks, it does me some good also, being able to share with people who understand.

If you get real pinched for something to do, try the link in my signature. It'll use up some time for you. ;)

Northern, south facing slopes are indeed warmer and have less snow cover in winter (where snow occurs) so good choice! Funny story on the fatty vs. washer though. We've all been there brother.

I see you are still living the dream Whadi, congrats on getting out again. :occasion14: You never know what goodies are hidden there unless you swing your coil over it.

Blingie is ready to hibernate for the winter.. At least you can get out. It was 10 degrees this am.

Yep, I've experienced "washer disappointment" more than once, but any time you can get out and swing is a fun time.
