I thought this was just a thick flake at first glance as I find about a pocket full every time I walk this area. I keep them in a big jar for fun. When I got home I flipped it over and was stunned to find this small worked piece. Guessing it has been used and reused many times worn down to what it is now. Odd shape on the back but clearly a point.

on the left coast, those are often the size we find.
 

Good catch that’s why I try to check every bit of flint, there’s been a few times I’ve almost missed a point assuming it’s a flake or even a leaf.

Yes. I check everything I see. Especially stones that do not fit the area in size and shape. After I found what I think was a graver spur I dumped out my jar and went thru it just to be sure.
