Severe drought where I live in upstate NY so digging has been real tough to say the least. This morning I went to Lyons Lake in Nassau a place where I've done well earlier in the year. Since April my buddies and I have found over 50 silver dimes,10 silver quarters 200 wheat pennies handful of buffalo nickels and more clad than I care to mention. I was hesitant on going bc we've crushed it this year but my buddy Rocco convinced me and boy am I glad he did. Got 2 bucket listers for myself within the first 10 minutes, an 1893 Barber half and a 1911 V nickel. To make the day even better I found 5 beautiful ladies: 2-1936 Mercs, 1937 and 1943 Mercs and a unk date Coronet LC!!! Thanks for viewing the pics. That is one sweet hunt.
Those coins were taken from the water??
Congratulations

Found on Waters edge. Looking to get in the water soon but gotta buy a decent scoop first

Congratualtions on the cool coin recoveries! :occasion14:

I bet that place has much more to offer you; "low and slow"!

Nice finds! Congrats and HH

Great job finding all that in one hunt keep it up Thanks for sharing your finds

Wow! That's truly an amazing day!! :notworthy:

Congratulations. Now overnight that scoop! If you guys have killed it like that on shore the water is holding some serious goodies.

I went to a old port in a river in my town from the early 1800's. The water was only 4 foot deep and got nothing. Any advice River Pro? Congrats on your beautiful finds.

Strange they are not black and crusty by the edge of the water there. Must be better water! Very nice finds

Very nice haul on the coins. I like that Barber Half.

Some of the earlier finds were tarnished, very hard to clean some of them.

That's a heck of a spot you have to hunt. Thanks for sharing your story with us, very cool. Maybe you can get a group shot of everything you've recovered from there so far, then later, show everything you recovered from the water... Just a thought. Good luck next time!
