Went to a local creek by me that has had plenty of settlements along it.

Thought this could have been Native American jewelry, but I know NOTHING about NA jewelry. So far, I’m being told it’s not but it’s an old button. Still wanted to share.

Interesting looking , any guesses on the material ? It does have a button look but than again the one pic of the holes kinda looked like they were hand drilled ... can you see any type of drill marks ?
 

John said it looks like bone or even porcelain, possibly colonial. I thought it had a drilled look because of the way it’s beveled at the top of the hole. But when I look inside, I don’t see any markings. What would I be looking for? Has anything like this ever been used by native Americans?
