Thoughts on minelab go-find 60 for island trips?

Not worthless, but, not a particularly good detector either. You'll probably be limited to the dry sand. Single frequency VLf detector are notorious for being unstable in the wet sand and water at the ocean. Bring your Safari....much better machine for that.
 

Thanks! Although I have to say, I’ve researched a lot of reviews on it already (I know, so then what’s the point of my post if I already did my homework). I like to hear directly from people like you, who have shared info with me directly for years. I mean, you knew I had a safari lol. So that says a lot.

YouTube videos and past forum posts seem to say the detector is actually excellent in the sand. I’m trying to get that backpack detector that I don’t need to worry about much. But also can find dropped jewelry on the beach efficiently.
