Hunted in the yellow box today! For anyone that doesn't know what that means, you can go here to get caught up. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/t...rst-park-hunt-paid-off-coin-shooting-fun.html

Another silver day! Only one but I'll take it. Also 5 wheats.

Total count for the weekend. 54 clad, 1 '57 Rosie, 1 '27 Merc, and 7 wheats.

Also, found this little bitty car. "Beep Beep". No name on it, and heavy like lead. Couldn't be to old, it looks to modern, but it put a smile on my face.

And finally, I couldn't stay away from a little relic hunting and found this.DSCF1511.webpDSCF1513.webp

I've found around 4 different companies that made these in the early 1900's, but I have to get the crust off to get the name. I think in the center of the wrench, you can see some letter's. The crust is pretty soft. Any idea's how I can clean this other then electrolysis.

Been a great 3 day weekend for me. Hope you all got out and played in the dirt:occasion14:

Thanks for looking.

Looks like ALL the boxes coughed up some goods! Congrats on a great weekend, I know you had a great time and we all had a great time enjoying it right along with you! Thanks for sharing..Ddf

Congrats on the Merc and the bottle wrench.
I used those years ago on an oxygen/acetylene rig.

The car looks like a Toyota Prius to me.

Great weekend! It paid off nicely!

Excellent hunting!! Semper Fi there in the Illini state...gotta get that way to check it out..

Try soaking the wrench in some apple cider vinegar for a couple of days, eats off the rust etc. really well. If it's porous. then soak in baking soda/water mix to remove the vinegars acid.

Thanks SP! Will give it a go.

Thanks all you fellow diggers! It was nice trying something different other then Relic hunting.

HH to all:icon_thumright:

Parks can be fun. Some spots can also be a pain for the pull tabs and other modern trash concentrated throughout. I try to find the fringe areas of parks. Slopes, hills, woods, etc. I have a wrench like that one. Relics like that one can clean up nice and make a cool old display piece. Thanks for including us on your fine weekend hunt.:hello:
