I apologize if you were misled, but I am referring to Roosevelt Franklins, not Benjamins ;D. At the silver farm today, I found the 57 and 51 very quickly, then scuffled the rest of the day without finding much more of interest. I added a 46 Rosey, a 34 and six common wheats, this key fixture and two more Pittsburgh Railway tokens. Now for the fuzzy math: Since I really found just .84 today, I am going to declare the tokens worth .08 apiece, giving me an even dollar on the day. Isn't this what the government does when it suits them? I also looked back at some of my miscellaneous finds, and found an identical key fixture to the one I found today. I know the other was also found at the silver farm, but I don't recall the area.

Three in one day is good in my book!

Seems to me that any silver dime is worth about a buck in silver alone. So you found at least three dollars there! I would love to see a closeup of the token as I have recently started to take a shine to them. I think some are better than old coins. I've found a alot of soap, bull durahm, presidents, and good luck (talking dall, shoe, boy scout etc) tokens. I like to find, and see, tokens that are not often found. Looks like you got two good ones there! Nice tokens.

These aren't the two I found today, but they are the two best in my collection. I hope this helps.

That silver farm has been good to you this season. . . I'll bet you'll find more this weekend ;D

HH!

Looks to me like Three Dollars in change and some tokens. Can't beat that. I'll take that anyday. Now get back there and find some more.

HD,
You're hoarding all those Rosie's. Those dimes always elude me. Congrats to you.
Cool looking tokens too.

I have 68 Roseys in a little bag, all ready for a trip to the coin dealer to trade. The odd thing about all these Roseys is that I seldom find any that fill the holes in my albums :(.

The government also taxes you about 27% on income. So now you're back to 73 cents... :D >:( ???

Looks like you had a pretty good day, even after Uncle Sam got involved... :P

A nice hunt Henry. :)

You know, I work for the government. We don't do any fuzzy math. The closest we come is when doing estimates. Rule of thumb - whatever you think it's going to cost - double it! ;D :D

Bob,

I work for the government, too. Here's a great example of how the government views money:

Many years ago I was preparing Congressional testimony for the director of the newly created Resolution Trust Corporation (savings & loan bailout agency). The numbers weren't adding up for me so I asked him what I should do. He said, "As long as you're within 250 MILLION dollars, that's close enough." :o :o :o

I cranked out a number (somewhere in the 2 - 3 BILLION $ range), he took it to Congress, nobody even raised an eyebrow... The next week it was printed in the Washington Post and became a talking point for all the DC wonks. And that makes it gospel... ::)
