OK, this has me baffled. These are old, identically shaped and the thickness of a coin but slight smaller than a quarter. It's almost as if they have been punch out. The white patina suggests some age. Anyone have any ideas? The location where I found them is near a civil war camp area and I have wondered if it is from that period?

Slugs.....Don't know where they come from, but I remember as a kid finding them all the time. Don't know if they were punch outs or something else.

I have a theory. The school house is not far from railroad tracks. I wonder if kids were putting round musket balls on the tracks? This would explain uniform shape of disks?

Probably homemade lead gaming tokens/poker chips.

WE use to put quarters , nikels , and pennys on the tracks.
